Who Can Run?
To run for Putnam County Prosecutor, you must:
- Be a U.S. citizen and resident of the judicial circuit
- Be a licensed attorney in good standing

Prosecutors in Indiana serve a four-year term and may be re-elected without term limits.
Time Commitment & Compensation
This is a full-time legal leadership position. The Putnam County Prosecutor receives a salary determined by state and county fundin, with minimums set by Indiana law. This salary is roughly $183,000. Additional compensation may be provided by the county and is subject to approval by the county council. Benefits and retirement participation are also included.
