Response to the DC Republicans Budget.

Our Congressman recently released a press release hailing a huge win on passing the 2025 Federal Budget Resolution. Let’s check the tape and see what the Republican Budget actually does.

Jim Says… What the Budget actually does Our Grade
“This budget resolution creates a vehicle for the House to expand tax relief for Hoosier families” The Republican budget will give the top 1% an additional $60,000 per year, while giving the bottom 60% less than $500 in tax cuts. The value of the tax cuts for the top 5% is triple that of the cuts for the bottom 60%. C- Jim’s right. The tax cuts will help Hoosier families. He just left out that it will only help *rich* Hoosier families.
“Our country is over 36 trillion dollars in debt and counting. This budget resolution will rein in the out-of-control spending” Rep Thomas Massie, a Republican, says, “We’re gonna add $328 billion to the deficit this year, we’re gonna add $295 billion to the deficit the year after that, and $242 billion to the deficit after that, under the rosiest assumptions” D+ Jim says a true thing here that the national debt is $36 trillion, so we can’t give him an F. The Republican budget will add to the deficit though - even his party says so.
“I voted for the House’s budget resolution to restore security, fiscal sanity, and economic prosperity to the American people.” The budget adds to the deficit, gives money to the rich, and cuts medicaid by $880 billion, forcing people to go uninsured. F We think saddling working people with medical debt and giving handouts to your rich friends is pretty unethical.

So, there you have it. Cut vital healthcare for working people, give money to rich folks, and add to the deficit. This budget is wrong for America.
